a) Variable Speed Drive Oil-free Screw Compressor 调速无油螺杆空压机
(1) Power Saving per Year 每年节省电费
NIRVANA -- a newly developed compressor is certified as an Energy Saving Product (No. 195 in the last 16 years) by Shanghai Energy Saving Assess Committee in 2003, the unique energy saving product in air compressor industry.
l The Nirvana VSD decreases the overall energy cost to 25%, compared to a fixed speed rotary air compressor.
1. A traditional fixed speed oil-free compressor (90KW, 8000h running per year,power cost /kw is 0.62 RMB), the power cost per year is as below,
90kw×8000h×0.62 RMB/ kw·h ≈ 450 K RMB
2. Nirvana Oil-free 90KW, decrease about 25% energy cost per year,
450 K RMB×25% ≈ 103 K RMB
Why is Nirvana Energy Saving?
l As per the air demand, variable speed to linear decrease the power consumption.
Nirvana compressor’s speed variable accords with the air demand (usually 25% to 100%)
l Unlimited Starts and Stops, directly shutdown, saving the 40% energy cost of unloaded
Traditional compressor is Load/Unload model, when the air demand is small, compressor and motor is on, but no air discharge, 40% energy waste.

The unique combination of transcendent technology allows the Nirvana compressor to maintain target pressure with a 0.069barg pressure band. Nirvana 调速空压机为什么节能?

(2) Life cycle cost 终生运行成本
Traditional purchase decision factors represent only 20% of the cost to own and operate a rotary screw compressor while energy represents 80% of the life cycle cost. Only Nirvana will save at least 28% of the energy cost over its life.
购买空压机时,传统意义上的成本(即购买成本+运行维修成本),其比例只占到总成本的20%,而能源消耗却占到了80%的比例,Nirvana和传统的空压机相比至少能节约30%的能源。
(3) Energy Efficiency 节能效率
A traditional fixed speed air compressor will waste energy and greatly reduce efficiency whenever the demand air is variable. Nirvana compressors deliver the only true Variable Speed Drive. With a true VSD, air is delivered at a constant pressure, regardless of demand, at maximum efficiency. Remarkably, Nirvana compressors achieve constant pressure and maximum efficiency across their entire operating range, from 100% loaded down to as low as 25% loaded.

1. Control Methodology 控制方式
l Optimized Flow at any Pressure
The Nirvana SGN Intellysis controller will optimize the speed of the airend to match the pressure setting with 50% to 100%. Nirvana is not limited to singular pressure builds (4.5bar-10bar modulation).
l 在任何压力点都能保证流量最佳
Nirvana的SGN智能控制器可以根据用气量(一般50%-100%)来调整主机的转速到最佳状态以配合压力的变化。Nirvana并不局限于单点压力的使用 (4.5bar-10bar 调节)。
l Constant Pressure Control
The unique combination of transcendent technology allows the Nirvana compressor to maintain target pressure with a 0.069barg pressure band. By providing stable pressure to demand, there is no system over pressurization and a reduction in overall system pressure. For each 0.14barg that the system pressure is lowered, 1% of the system BHP will be saved.

2. Hybrid Permanent Magnet (HPM.) Motor 混合永磁电机
l Electromagnetic coils on the stator produce a powerful magnetic force between the stator and an array of permanent magnets on the rotor, which causes rotation at variable speeds. The rotation drive the direct connection male rotor of airend, no efficiency loss of interim drive train, variable speed and energy saving.
l HPM eliminates the need for all power robbing transmission components and a motor bearing, no gear/bearing/shaft sealing, etc.
l The volume of HPM is one third of general motor. The HPM. motor technology is field serviceable with removable stator coils.
l Unlimited Starts and Stops, saving the 30% energy cost of unloaded operation, unlike traditional compressor motors.
l Soft Starts, starts current is less than rated current; traditional Y-△ starts is 3~5 times rated current, waste energy.
l Increased Air Gap, Increased air gap means that the HPM. motor is capable of operating in conditions up to 115oF, eliminating nuisance shutdowns. As standard, the HPM motor has a 1.25 service factor, thus extending the life of the motor.
l 96% persistent running efficiency.

4. Airend 主机
l Stainless steel second-stage rotor
Considering of the unseparated steam after the 1st compression, hereby adopt the stainless steel material to make the second-stage rotor to prevent the trouble caused by the corrosion of second-stage rotor interface.
l 不锈钢第二级转子
英格索兰公司吸取了其他公司无油螺杆空压机长期运行中暴露的问题,考虑到第1级压缩后经冷却的压缩空气中有分离不掉的水汽,为了防止水汽对压缩机第2级主机转子表面的腐蚀从而造成故障,特此采用不锈钢材料制造第2级转子。
l UltraCoat 超级涂层
Usually coated with Teflon (Polytetrafluoroethylene, PTFE) on the rotors and airend inner surface, it can be anticorrosive and eliminate mesh gap. But Teflon is relatively soft, can't stand the eroding of high temperature, high-pressure gas for a long time and are easy to peel off, thus increase the interval between the rotors, so the capacity drops down from 10% to 15% after 1 or 2 years. For a long time research, Ingersoll-Rand succeeds to achieve the super coating (UltraCoat) with preventing corrosion and peeling off.
通常无油螺杆空压机的主机和机壳的内表面都涂有特氟龙即聚四氟乙烯材料,起到防腐和减少啮合间隙的作用。但由于聚四氟乙烯材质较软,经不起高温、高压气体的长期冲刷,容易剥落,从而造成齿间间隙增大,导致1~2年后供气量下降10~15%,为此英格索兰公司经过长期不懈地研究,取得了突破性进展,在主机的转子和压缩腔内壁涂有坚固的超级涂层(UltraCoat)以防止腐蚀和涂层脱落的发生。
5. Air Conditioner 冷却风调节器
Protecting the coolers from thermal stress is accomplished by pre-cooling the hot air before it enters the after cooler and by utilizing multiple after-cooler cores. Three manifolded, pre-cooler tubes reduce the second-stage discharge air temperature by 30° F (17° C) before this air enters the coolers.
In the air-cooled NIRVANA Oil Free compressor, the speed of inverter driven blower motor is calibrated to provide a satisfactory CTD while also providing the energy savings and sound attenuation associated with the VSD controlled blower motor.
NIRVANA无油螺杆空压机通过预冷热空气以保护冷却器不受热负荷的损伤,其中预冷却器的设计采用的是多芯结构。三管并列式预冷却器大大降低了第二级压缩腔的排气温度,数值大约为30°F (17°C)。
风冷的NIRVANA无油螺杆空压机还通过调节变频离心风扇的流量来保证CTD的稳定,同时达到节能及降低噪音的效果。

2 Fixed Speed Oil-free Compressor Features
l The compressor is designed for Asian high temperature and high relative humidity ambient. It can operate under max. 46 oC ambient temperature. To water-cooled machine, 46 oC cooling water is also available.
l 机组按亚热带高温高湿环境设计,设计最高环境温度为46℃ (水冷型机组的最高进水温度也可达46℃),从而避免了由于中国夏季高温导致的停机。

l The heat is mostly dissipated by the airend casing. The common design is water casing out of the airend casing, but water is easy to scale because of the quality and high temperature, the scale cannot be cleaned and lead to fault; Ingersoll-Rand compressors airend cooled by air or oil in the 1st stage airend isolation casing, by oil in the 2st stage airend isolation casing which ensure the reliability.
l 无油螺杆压缩机压缩过程中产生的热量要通过主机机壳向外散热,通常做法是在机壳外铸有水套,但由于水质及高温的影响,水套内部容易结垢,而用户又无法清洗,因此往往由于高温而无法正常运行;为此英格索兰在第1级主机机壳上直接采用风或油来冷却,在第2级主机的机壳隔腔中采用油走夹套冷却,这就避免了水垢影响换热效率,大大提高了运行的可靠性。
l BEARINGS:
Radial loads are to be carried by high quality vacuum degrassed cylindrical roller bearings. Thrust loads are to be carried by high quality vacuum degrassed ball bearings. Thrust balance pistons shall not be used to offset thrust loads.
l 以往的无油螺杆压缩机为了抵消轴向推力都设有平衡活塞,但平衡活塞又容易受到尘埃等污染而卡住,为了消除这一隐患,Sierra无油螺杆压缩机增加了一对推力轴承代替平衡活塞来承受轴向力。
l SEALS:
Stainless steel air seals shall be used in both the first and second stage airends to minimize air leakage. Labyrinth style oil seals shall be used in both airends to prevent oil leakage into compression chambers. One set of oil seals on each motor shall be vented to atmosphere to prevent bearing oil piping into air seal area.
l 为了延长及提供可靠的密封,Sierra无油螺杆压缩机采用了不锈钢迷宫式油封及多层浮环式气封。
l GEAR CASE:
The main drive bull gear and speed optimizing gears shall be installed in a rugged cast iron gear case. All gears shall be rated AGMA Class 12. The motor bearings should be type M vacuum degassed for uniform hardness on bearing surface. A leak-free lip seal shall be used to prevent oil leakage along the bull gear input shaft. A labyrinth style seal shall have an integral oil sump with oil level sight glass provided in the gear case housing.
l 为了保证机组可靠运行,传动齿轮精度达到AGMA12级,设计寿命长达10万小时以上;主机采用真空去磁轴承,设计寿命在5万小时以上(在极限工况下)。
l MOTOR: The motor is to be specially designed for the torque, speed, and horsepower characteristics of the compressor. The motor is to be operated by a 380volt, three phases, 50HZ power source. The motor shall be applied such that full load brake horsepower requirements will permit operation in the motor’s peak efficiency range and have a large service factor.
l 为了保证整个机组的效率,Sierra压缩机采用了法兰联接的特制高效电机,效率高达95%以上,它比同标准的NEMA电机的输入功率低5%左右。同时电机采用了较大的服务系数。
l CONTROL The compressor shall include a microprocessor based control system which provides for starting, capacity control, operating control and safety control of the unit. The compressor shall use an inlet throttle valve and blow-off valve to control loading and unloading of the unit. The inlet throttle and blow-off valve are to be mechanically interlocked and will be actuated by a hydraulic control cylinder powered by the compressor lubrication pump. A flexible style unloading diaphragm shall not be used to control compressor unloading or blow-off. Automatic starting and stopping of compressor based on system needs shall be provided.
l 机组控制采用Ingersoll-Rand取得美国专利的Intellisys智能控制系统,机组的操作仪表板为带有背光的液晶显示屏,触摸式按键,操作简单方便,功能齐全可对所有的参数进行预先设定,在显示屏中显示各种运行参数;显示警告、报警及故障停机原因。并且具有完善的自我诊断、报警、监控功能,对故障原因及部位作记忆保存。另外根据用户的需要还可配置:就地、远程和连锁三种控制方式,在连锁控制方式下,用一台控制器(ISC)可连锁控制2~8台空压机,并可编写八种程序,对空压机的运行状态进行设置,完全作到实现无人操作。
